All about your PIN

A few days after you first get your card, we'll send you a letter with your PIN. (You can change your PIN to something you’ll remember more easily.)

It gives you secure access to make purchases and take out cash when you swipe your card at ATMs and EFTPOS terminals all over the country. And don’t forget, you can get 120 days interest free and deferred payment simply by making EFTPOS purchases over $100 at participating retailers.

It's also really handy to be able to have access to cash in emergencies.

Just make sure you look after your PIN. You don’t want somebody else using your card.

Using your PIN

We'll send you a PIN when you first get your GE CreditLine Card, however you'll probably want to change it to a number you’ll remember more easily (see 'How to get a new PIN' below.)

Next, make sure your GE CreditLine card has been activated. (Just call us on 0800 500 505, answer a few questions and you’re ready to go.)

How to change your PIN or get a new one

What happens if you forget your PIN, or you want to change it? No problem.

Just take your card into any Westpac branch along with a form of current and original photo ID. This can be either a New Zealand Driver Licence or passport. Any foreign passports require a residency stamp.
